Alyssa is pursuing a degree in Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in Marketing at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama.
Alongside her academic pursuits, Alyssa has gained valuable practical experience through diverse roles. She has worked at Publix in Moody, Alabama, for over three years, demonstrating her versatility and commitment. Cross-trained in Produce, Bakery, and Customer Service, she is currently advancing her skills as a Customer Service Staff Member, honing her problem-solving, team leadership, and customer satisfaction abilities. Notably, her store received the Customer Service Excellence Award for the Atlanta Division in 2023.
Further enriching her college experience, Alyssa served as a Creative Content Intern for the Jacksonville State University Football Team. This role allowed her to develop her skills in content creation, digital marketing, and sports communication, providing a unique insight into the dynamic world of collegiate athletics. She was responsible for creating engaging visual content, managing social media platforms, and contributing to the team's overall brand presence.
Alyssa's involvement extends beyond her professional and academic roles. She passionately supported her Gamecocks as a member of the Cheer & Mascot Program, fostering teamwork and professionalism. Currently, she serves as the Director of Athletic Engagement in the SGA Presidential Cabinet, advocating for student-athletes. She also holds the position of Secretary on the Executive Board for College Republicans of America, providing opportunities to engage with statewide officials. Additionally, Alyssa is an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, Collegiate Legislature, Young Americans for Freedom, and Baptist Campus Ministries.
Upon graduation, Alyssa aims to leverage her combined experiences in retail, sports communication, and student leadership to pursue a career in corporate communications and marketing.

Why a bluebird?
Upon Alyssa’s birth, her parents were stuck with her vivid blue eyes. One day a bluebird appeared outside of her bedroom window, prompting her mother to affectionately nickname her “Bluebird.” The name resonated and for years, both her parents and grandparents lovingly referred to her as Bluebird.
